When you play Minecraft: Bedrock Edition on your mobile device and start a Marketplace Pass subscription, the Minecraft Marketplace uses the payment method associated with your Apple or Google account. To update the payment method for your recurring subscription, you need to change the default payment method on the account of the mobile device you used to start your subscription.
Find the platform used to start your subscription
When you view your active subscriptions in the Minecraft Settings menu, you’ll see a note if your Marketplace Pass was started on a different platform.
- Launch Minecraft on your device
- Click the Settings button on the Launch screen
- Select Subscriptions from the Settings menu
- Locate your subscription in the list
Update your payment method for iOS
See Add a payment method to your Apple Account to learn all the ways you can update your payment method. Apple will attempt to charge your payment methods in the order that they appear. Here’s how to make a payment update on your iOS device:
- Open the Settings app.
- Tap your name.
- Tap Payment & Shipping. You might be asked to sign in with your Apple Account.
- Tap Add Payment Method.
- Enter the payment method details, then tap Done.
- On the Payment & Shipping screen, tap Edit.
- Touch and hold a payment method to drag it further up or down your list of payment methods.
- Tap Done.
Update your payment method for Android
See Manage your Google payment info to learn all the ways you can update your payment method. Your Google Account allows you to set payment methods to be used for specific subscriptions or purchases. Here’s how to make a payment update on your Android device:
- Open Google Play Store.
- Tap the profile icon.
- Tap Payments & subscriptions.
- Tap Subscriptions.
- Tap on your Marketplace Pass subscription in the Active section.
- Select Update next to the Primary payment method.
- Follow the on-screen instructions for updating the payment method.
