Even though you’re already in the game, you may not be able to access or connect to some services. The tips below can help get you past this roadblock and back into your world if you get this error message:
Failed to log in
We could not sign you into your Microsoft account. Access to Realms, Profiles, and your Marketplace items will be limited. Please try again later.
Error code: Drowned
Refresh your Windows/Xbox sign-in:
- Launch Minecraft or exit to the launch screen.
- Click on Settings.
- Click on Account.
- Click on Manage Account in the Account Settings.
- Click on your profile name in the Xbox companion app and select Sign out.
- Click on Sign in where your profile name was and reenter your Microsoft account information.
Update to latest version

Check server status
The platform you are on could be down and unable to process sign-in. If it is showing problems, you may need to wait it out.
Change your sign-in credentials
- Close Minecraft.
- Change your Microsoft account password.
- Launch Minecraft and sign in again with your new password.
