Buying Minecraft for Windows, MacOS or Linux

When you buy Minecraft from the Microsoft store or on Minecraft.net, you get both Minecraft: Bedrock Edition for Windows and Minecraft: Java Edition for MacOS and Linux in the same bundle. Windows users can play either edition. Minecraft: Java Edition is compatible with MacOS and Linux. You can also select from other available Minecraft games in the same stores.

BUYING MINECRAFT THROUGH THE MICROSOFT STORE

1. Visit Minecraft: Java & Bedrock Edition for PC in the Microsoft/Xbox store.
2. Select the game version you want to buy from the drop-down menu.
3. Click Buy.
4. Sign in if prompted. Be sure to use or create a Microsoft account you want to use to play Minecraft.
5. Enter a payment method or select an existing one.
6. Click the Buy button to complete your purchase.
7. Follow the onscreen instructions to download and install the Minecraft Launcher.
8. Start the Launcher and then select the game version for your PC platform.
9. Click the Play button in the Launcher to start the download and installation of your game. 

BUYING MINECRAFT FROM MINECRAFT.NET

1. Visit the Minecraft: Java & Bedrock Edition page on Minecraft.net.
2. Select the version you’ want to buy and click the Checkout button.
3. Sign in if prompted. Be sure to use or create a Microsoft Account you want to use to play Minecraft.
4. Enter a payment method or select an existing one.
5. Click the Buy button to complete your purchase.
6. Follow the onscreen instructions to download and install the Minecraft Launcher.
7. Start the Launcher and then select the game version for your PC platform.
8. Click the Play button in the Launcher to start the download and installation of your game. 

BUYING MINECRAFT GAMES FROM THE MINECRAFT LAUNCHER

1. If you haven’t already, download the Minecraft Launcher for your system.
2. Select a game from the menu and click Buy Now.
3. Follow the onscreen instructions to complete your purchase and download the game.

VIEWING PURCHASED GAMES MINECRAFT.NET

1. Visit Minecraft.net.
2. Click on Account and then select Sign In.
3. Sign in with the Microsoft account you use to buy and play games.
4. Select My Games from the menu. You will see cards for the game titles that you own. 
   If you do not own a game, the option to Buy Now will appear under a game card.
