Equip Minecraft Character Creator Items and Skins in the Dressing Room

You can change the look of your character in Minecraft at any time! Here is how to equip new items to your character in the dressing room.

Note: The Dressing Room is exclusive to Minecraft: Bedrock Edition.

How to use the Dressing Room in Minecraft

Character creator items

If you are looking to add character creator items to your Minecraft character, follow these steps:

1. Start Minecraft: Bedrock Edition. 
2. Select Dressing Room.
3. Select the character slot you want to edit or a new one. 
4. Select Edit Character.
5. Open the Body or Style tab.
6. Find the item in the proper section. 
7. Click Equip.

How to equip classic skins in Minecraft: Bedrock Edition

If you instead want to use a classic skin from something you purchased in the Marketplace, do the following:

1. Start Minecraft: Bedrock Edition.
2. Select Dressing Room.
3. Select the character slot you want to change the skin of or a new one.
4. Select Edit Character.
5. Select Classic Skins on the left bar.
6. Browse through and select the skin you want to use.
7. Click Equip.

Note: Classic skins cannot be customized with character creator items.
