Find Out Which PC Editions of Minecraft You Own

Minecraft: Java Edition and Minecraft: Bedrock Edition were released as a bundle for personal computers on June 7, 2022. Players who own this version or migrated from a Mojang account to a Microsoft account should have access to both versions for PC. Check the Minecraft launcher or Microsoft store to verify which PC versions you own.

Check Minecraft game versions using the Minecraft Launcher

See Download and Install the Minecraft Launcher for instructions if you don’t have the Minecraft Launcher installed.

1. Open the Minecraft Launcher on your personal computer.
2. Sign in with the Microsoft account you used to buy Minecraft.
3. Select Minecraft: Java Edition or Minecraft: Bedrock Edition on the left.
   • The Play or Install button display if you own that version of Minecraft.
   • The Buy Now button displays if you don’t own that version of Minecraft.

Check Minecraft game versions in the Microsoft Store

1. Visit the Minecraft: Java & Bedrock Edition for PC page in the Microsoft store.
2. Sign in with the Microsoft account you used to buy Minecraft.
3. Choose an edition of Minecraft from the dropdown.
   • You Own This and the option to install displays for versions you own.
   •  The option to Buy displays for versions you don’t own.
