Any device running the Minecraft Launcher must meet the following minimum operating system requirements to receive updates:
- Windows: Windows 10 or higher
- Mac: OSX 10.15 or higher
- Ubuntu: 19.10 or higher

If you play Minecraft on a device with an operating system that doesn’t meet the listed minimum requirements, you will not be able to receive updates. Some multiplayer options may also no longer be available to you. See Operating System Sunset Announcements for Minecraft for details.
