Named Error Code Troubleshooting for Minecraft: Bedrock Edition

We’ve given some error codes special names to help point you in the right direction for resolving them—and getting back into Minecraft. See the list below.

  • What it means: The world you’re connecting to is newer than your Minecraft version.
  • How to troubleshoot: Update your game to the latest Minecraft version. You can find platform-specific instructions in Download & Install to manually update Minecraft and enable automatic updates. After updating, restart your device and try again.

Cauldron

  • What it means: Your device does not have enough storage space to play Minecraft.
  • How to troubleshoot: Free up storage space on your device by uninstalling other programs, deleting other files, or upgrading your storage.

  • What it means: The IP address you entered has been blocked.
  • How to troubleshoot: Verify you entered the correct IP address. See How to Report a Minecraft Server for more information on blocked servers.

  • What it means: There was an issue with your credentials.
  • How to troubleshoot: Sign out and restart Minecraft.

Glowstone

  • What it means: The world you were in/trying to join is no longer available. This can happen if the hosting player quit the game.
  • How to troubleshoot: Check with the hosting player to make sure they’re still in game. See Troubleshoot Minecraft Network Connection Errors for more troubleshooting.

  • What it means: The world you are trying to join is full.
  • How to troubleshoot: Try to sign in again when there’s world capacity.

  • What it means: The server you’re trying to join may not exist or be locked.
  • How to troubleshoot: If you’re playing on a privately hosted server, the server must be online with the Allow multiplayer games permission enabled. Contact the server owner to confirm the server is online and available.
